Holiday Sangria

As Christmas draws closer,  I’ve been busy planning my holiday menu, and I had to make sure I included a great winter cocktail for my guests. I absolutely adore a good sangria, and I think this recipe will make a wonderful addition to your drink menu this holiday season. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Everyone!



Sangria Ingredients:

1 bottle champagne (Or 1 bottle of sparkling Moscato)
1 bottle white wine (I used Barefoot Pinot Grigio)
1 1/2 cups pomegranate juice
2 ounces triple sec
1 1/2 cups tonic water 
1/4 cup simple syrup (adjust to your own taste)
1 orange (thinly sliced)
2 Medium Pears (diced)
2 cups cranberries
3 sprigs rosemary


Mix white wine, pomegranate juice, triple sec, tonic water, and simple syrup to a large pitcher. Stir and taste and make any needed adjustments. Add in the cranberries, pears, orange slices, rosemary sprigs, and mix again. Transfer to the refrigerator and let chill for several hours. For best flavor let stand overnight.
Right before serving, pour in champagne (or sparkling moscato) and mix gently.  Serve over ice and garnish with rosemary sprigs and pear slices. Cheers!
